Dear AATB Members,
I hope that everyone entered the new year feeling happy, healthy, and refreshed. Here at the AATB home office, the holiday season already seems so far behind us as we busily work on a host of new projects. I would encourage you to first reflect back on the past year of work in our recently released 2018 Year in Review, and then get excited for all of the new projects to come in 2019.
Year in Review
Today we released the association’s 2018 Year in Review. 2018 was an exciting year of growth and change, and you can see key metrics and association highlights from the past year by visiting our website.
Like many of you, one of the ways I celebrate the new year is by watching the Rose Parade on New Year's Day. This year I was looking for the AATB-sponsored tissue recipient, Bill Bourbeau, as he rode down Colorado Boulevard on the Donate Life Float. You can see photos and news coverage of Bill and the Donate Life Float on our website and Facebook page. You can also hear Bill share his story at the AATB Annual Meeting in Toronto this September.
We are constantly working to expand and improve the content and functionality of our website. You can refer to the What’s New on AATB.org? article to get a snapshot of all of the notable changes that have been made to the website in the past two months, and to see a preview of some upcoming content additions.
Registration is now open for the 2019 Quality & Donor Eligibility Workshop. This year, QDEW will be held in St. Louis, Missouri from April 15-17, 2019. We hope to see you there.
Save the date and renew your passport for the 2019 AATB Annual Meeting in Toronto. We look forward to seeing you there for a week of education and networking.
Thanks to everyone who joined us for the first webinar series of 2019. Don’t forget that you can still purchase the new year-long webinar subscription package to grant your entire organization access to all of the AATB webinar programming being offered this year. Even if you missed the live January series, All About NADOs, the year-long subscription will provide you with recorded access to those presentations, as well as live and recorded access for all future presentations. You can read more about the 2019 webinar program and register here.
I'm looking forward to all of the exciting projects planned for this year, and hope to connect with many of you throughout the year at our meetings and events, or during my travels to visit with our member organizations. It was a privilege working together with you all in 2018, and I have no doubt that 2019 holds even greater opportunities for progress and collaboration.
