The World Health Organization (WHO) Assigns Codename for the Novel Coronavirus
Previously referred to as 2019-nCoV, the infectious disease caused by the Novel Coronavirus identified in December 2019 has now been assigned the name “COVID-19” by the WHO, to include all forms of the disease from mild to severe.

AATB Files Citizen Petition
On behalf of our membership, AATB filed a Citizen Petition to the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) related to the use of human acellular dermal matrices (hADM) for use in post-mastectomy breast reconstruction procedures.

Tissue recipient, Jim Vidas, will be representing AATB as a rider on the 2020 Donate Life Rose Parade Float. Jim was nominated for this opportunity by Washington Regional Transplant Community, an AATB-accredited organization based outside of Washington, DC.
